Where we currently stand

After many weeks of not feeling very well, I am starting to get my mojo back. So, I thought I would give a comprehensive update for all my loyal readers...how ever many or few you are!

(Dad, if you are reading this, you can click on the green words to go to past stories!)

On March 3rd I wrote how I had over 156 blogs to read, and that I was not feeling well. Well, I got some tests done and no real conclusions have been drawn - though I must say lots of blood was drawn!!! Based on my university training in Canadian Studies, and my google-power, I am pretty sure my thyroid is out of whack. My doctor has indicated that my thyroid is low, but still a low-normal. The-all knowing internet has told me that some people start high and then a decrease to low-normal is like being being outside the "normal" range. So, I have an appointment to talk to my doctor and I am also investigating homeopathic routes to take. Anyone have any experience with an under active thyroid????

On March 1st I was having trouble getting motivated in my French course. Well, I am happy to say "ma classe a fini et j'ai réussi". In fact, I aced my final and recieved a 93%. Yippee for me! I still hate that everyone got 10/10 on their presentations...but I pulled myself together and did a solid second presentation and then aced the final exam. Now, I have to decide if I continue taking courses through the spring and summer.

On March 13 we discovered what Anderson would look like with a beard. After much deliberation we decided Ander needed to have a makeover that involved a nice crew cut...

On February 29th I helped my mom out by giving my father a make-work project. Here is a photo of the make-work project in action!

Once the train table was done my father needed another project....And here is what my parents made the kids. Can you believe it? My dad just took a photo off the internet and voila! Horton, the Mayor and Lady from Horton Hears a Who! My parents are the BEST! They are made of wood and will hang proudly in our playroom! Hubby brought the boys to see the movie this past weekend, and they all loved it!

On March 14th I wrote about a wardrobe malfunction...well, hubby reminded me of another in-side-out story. When DJ was in NICU a social worker came by to see how I was dealing with the hospital stay and diagnosis. We chatted for a bit and when she was about to leave she leaned into my personal space - I actually thought she wanted to kiss me! then she whispered in my ear, "Dear, I believe your shirt is in-side-out."

So based on this repeating offence, and all the comments you wonderful people left, I am guessing that wardrobe malfunctions are common for moms! And I believe the cause of these malfunctions also results in side effects like this and this and this.

Well...I guess that is it for a glimpse at where we currently stand in the Storrie household.
I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I have missed all my blogging-world friends. And I thank you all for your support, well wishes and lovely comments.

Cheers!

My friend has thyroid problems, but I forget which type. I know the medication really helped her, though. Perhaps if you keep feeling unwell you can push you dr. for a referral to an endocrinologist (did I spell that right? I'm too lazy to check).
