"Oh, it is probably easier to get out and do things with three kids, as compared to one kid. It is a bit more challenging to get one going...that is just my perception of things."
Ummmmm....WTF??????? This comment was said to me, a mother of a 4 year old, a 3 year old and a 17 month old, by a stay-at-home father of ONE five year old. Ummmmm....NOPE!

Really? That has got to be one of the more stupid things I have ever heard...
Ummmm...NO!?! I don't think so! That's kinda like when my twins were babies and people would say, oh, mine are just 14 months apart, so that's like having twins. Ummmm... no. I don't think so! Having three little ones, like you, is certainly a lot more difficult than having ONE child to take care of.
Men....that pretty much says it all.
Are you kidding me? One child cannot simultaneously soil a diaper, vomit, refuse to put on shoes, and scatter Cheerios all over the floor. Three children? They can team up and make it impossible to leave the house.
Delusional man.
Um, to try to save face for my gender, I'd like to point out that he must have been on some drugs or something. There's no way one child is harder than three. For example, I have to baby sit 4 kids back stage in our play -- 4, 4, 7, and 10. It's hard enough handling them back stage and making sure they don't touch anything, but I can't even imagine doing it all the time.
Who was he trying to convince? You or himself? Probably realized what a wuss he was whining about one kid when he sees a mom with multiples making it work.
Hahaha!!! What a freaking ding dong! Why even open your mouth about something you know nothing about?
Ugh.
I have never heard of reasoning like that! Did it at least give you a good laugh?
Can you say clueless??? I have ONE and only one and each and every day I wonder how in the world a mother of more than one does it all.
Oh yeah . . .
She's a mom.
She just does.
You didn't even have to mention that the comment came from a man. It's pretty obvious, huh? DUH!
That is a different one...of course sometimes when people only have one they don't even realize how much different life is when there are more.
Oh my gosh that woman should be sentenced to a day of running errands with your brood - that would shut her up!
I mean that man - and seriously that would be even funnier...
That actually stumped me and I had to read it a couple of times. I was thinking it was vaguely familiar because someone recently asked ME why I couldn't gear up and do more things-- I told them that when I had one or two children, I had more energy and rolled with the punches better-- but five takes serious planning (I was kind of taking a stab back for her even judging me). So to have something like that said-- wow, I may have reallye gone off! It's hilarious that she believd that though...
oops. HE. and I really should proof my comments :-(
Was he smoking crack at the time? Just wondering.
Yup! I with you there.
Are you kidding me?!?!
Yeah, mothers of ONE child really have no clue what parenting two kids is like - especially when they are YOUNG....you get triple the work, no matter where you go - and then to go somewhere other than your yard/home -NOT fun. My son is 21 mo and a HORRIBLE shopper and to this day I do my grocery shopping at night, in peace.
